It features an easy access guard-rail on the top bunk and a sturdy slat system, so a box spring is not necessary. The frame is made of 2-inch metal tube and is designed for residential use only.
The top bunk is not to be used for children below six years of age. The top bed has a 150 Lbs weight capacity, and the bottom bed has a 200 Lbs weight capacity. A 6-inch height mattress is recommended for the top bunk.
