The AFD Home live-edge teak root console is made from natural solid teak and measures approximately 99 inches long. It is the largest console offered and an unusually rare size. No assembly is required.
Local craftspeople source the teak from remote forests of Indonesia. Villagers search for old trees that have fallen naturally, revealing their once-buried root crowns; each root crown can be processed to yield 2 consoles. Teak is valued for its grain and color and is also favored for outdoor use.
These natural root crown consoles can vary slightly from one specimen to another.
