As we do not use chemicals and acids to stabilize our yarns and fabrics, linting and pilling may occur in the wash. This is normal and expect and does not affect the performance of the organic towels. Fashioned after sauna friction massage towels from Scandinavia. Created originally for a vigorous rubdown after a sauna bath, the honeycomb hemp waffle towels are also great as organic towels for every use and travel, thanks to their being lightweight, absorbent, and fast-drying.
Please note: For reasons of hygiene and in consideration to chemically-sensitive customers, our pure organic towels are not returnable. If you are unsure, please get a wash cloth or hand towel to try out before ordering a set. We also cannot accept products that have been washed or worn for refund.

Care: Machine wash with like colors using mild biodegradable detergent. Hang or lay flat to dry. Tumble dry on low/gentle cycle; remove before dry.
Note: We started this product in 1997 with 100% hemp yarn. Unfortunately it proved hard on our equipment and kept breaking needles. Then we found a more workable, and softer, fabric blending organic cotton in with the hemp yarn in varying proportions (50-50 and 60-40). As you can imagine it proved challenging with mixed inventory and changing handmade production, and we've recently been alerted that some towels in our stock say 60% OC - 40% Hemp on the hangtag and 100% Hemp on the sewn-in label. The hangtag is correct; old labels were by mistake used for some towels. We'll try to catch those before shipping, but in case you get one that has a wrong label sewn in, please accept our apologies for that. It will not subtract from your enjoyment of this truly special product that many customers find so indispensable for their travels, camping trips, and spa and yoga studio trips!
