Basalt Gray Basalt Tile - Honed is a natural volcanic stone tile in a beautifully consistent mid to pale gray tone. It offers a contemporary look that works well in modern interiors.
This basalt is highly durable, with a honed finish that creates a silky-smooth satin matte surface. It has sufficient traction for use as flooring and is suitable for high traffic areas.
Basalt forms when magma cools and hardens at the earth's crust, creating a medium-grained rock with a naturally porous surface that becomes relatively moisture resistant once sealed. Available sizes include 12" X 24" X 3/8", 4" X 12", 18" X 36", 12" X 24" X 1/2", 3" X 3", 2" X 6", 3" X 4", 2" X 8", 4" X 4", 3" X 6", 3" X 8", and 4" X 6".
