The Bluenose II Painted model is a detailed wooden sailboat display piece from Old Modern Handicrafts. It captures the iconic Canadian schooner known for its place in Maritime history.
This model is handcrafted from scratch using historical photographs, drawings, and original plans. It is built to scale with high-grade wood such as western red cedar, rosewood, and mahogany, and made using a 100% hand built plank-on-frame construction method.
Finished in a rosewood color with an upper black hull, the model features yellow masts and booms, stitched and meticulously rigged sails, authentic lifeboats with ribs and planks, wooden cabins, companion ways, hatches, and metal “Bluenose II” nameplates attached to the hull. It is secured on a solid wood base with a brass nameplate. The masts and sails are folded down for shipping, and assembly may take about 30 minutes or more.
