The Brass Directional Desktop Compass 6" from Handcrafted Nautical Decor is a solid brass, lightly distressed reproduction of an antique air-damped compass.
Its compass needle features long, balanced air paddles mounted perpendicular to the needle to help provide stable readings, and a needle lift thumbscrew secures the needle during transport.
Designed as a distinguished desk accessory, this nautical decor piece is not intended for actual navigational use.
