The Chris Craft Cobra is a hand-crafted speed boat model inspired by the era of big fins and wings. It arrives fully assembled and ready to display.
Built from strips of hard wood using plank-on-frame construction, this scale model is made from high-grade woods such as western red cedar, rosewood, and mahogany. The deck joins tiny strips of cedar mixed with mahogany, while the hatch and fin section are painted gold.
Details include brass and chromed stainless steel fittings and a glass windshield, plus brass and chromed gold rudders and propellers. The model rests on a solid wood stand and is a strong choice for a home or office decorator, boat enthusiast, or collector.
History-wise, the original Chris-Craft Cobra was made in 1955 only, with 106 produced in total (55 21' and 51 18'). It was Chris-Craft’s first experiment with fiberglass, and the 21' version is the most collectable.
