Bonsai Boy Colorado lava rock granules are a naturally occurring volcanic cinder for use in bonsai soil mixes. The porous material is lightweight and highly moisture retentive.
Use it to increase drainage (aeration). It absorbs up to 40% of its weight in water. Small lava rock (1/4 inch) makes a sharp, irregular “sand” component.
This product is supplied as 20 Lbs. (10 Qts.) of Colorado lava rock granules.
