Schluter®-DILEX-AKWS is a surface joint profile designed for tiled areas that need movement accommodation and edge protection. It uses aluminum anchoring legs and a 1/4" (6 mm)-wide soft PVC movement zone that separates individual fields in the tile covering and forms the visible surface.
This aluminum with black insert trim is designed to allow movement and reduce stress in large tiled areas. It helps eliminate the need for caulking, prevents cracking and delamination, and provides stress relief from movement in the tile field caused by thermal and moisture expansion/contraction and loading.
Suitable for residential to medium-duty commercial applications, including areas subject to moderate mechanical stresses such as vehicular traffic. Available variant sizes include 5/16" X 98 1/2", 11/32" X 98 1/2", 3/8" X 98 1/2", 7/16" X 98 1/2", 1/2" X 98 1/2", 17/32" X 98 1/2", 5/8" X 98 1/2", and 13/16" X 98 1/2".
