The FHC Carolina Beveled 5 Degree Positive Close Wall Mount Hinge with Full Back Plate is designed for tempered or tempered/laminated glass shower doors and features a preset 5 degree pivot pin for a firmer close against a jamb or seal.
Built with solid brass construction and an HD S/S back plate, this hinge comes factory set at 90 degrees for normal door closing applications and can be field adjusted to add 5 degrees of closing when needed. It is for 1/2" glass and can also be used with tempered or tempered/laminated glass.
Glass specifications: maximum door capacity for 3/8" (10 mm) glass is approx. 5 lb./ft², and for 1/2" (12 mm) glass is approx. 6.4 lb./ft². Door weight and width limits are 110 LBS (50 kg) at 36" (914 mm) using 2 hinges, or 140 LBS. (64 kg) at 36" (914 mm) using 3 hinges. Do not exceed either maximum weight or width when choosing proper quantity of hinges.
Gasket specifications: for 3/8" (10 mm) glass, use one thick gasket on each side; for 1/2" (12 mm) glass, use one thin gasket on each side. Replacement screws PS102 and PS103 are available as needed, and the hinge can be used with Hinge Limit Plates HLP25 and HLP40. See all shower door hinges
