The Flowering Sea Hibiscus Bonsai Tree - Variegated (Hibiscus Tiliaceus) is a flowering tree in the Mallow family native to Australia.
Its heart-shaped leaves are speckled, splashed, and striped in shades of green, cream, pink, and deep burgundy. Rich maroon new growth can look like flowers from a distance, and the blooms open bright yellow with a deep red center.
As the day goes on, the flowers deepen to orange and finally red before they fall. This plant does very well indoors and should be protected from freezing temperatures.
