Tell me about the stone With its stunning sandy tones and soft, subtle pattern, French Vanilla limestone is elegance defined. This is a golden beige stone that varies in color tone, with some displaying a hint of yellow, and others an earthy, green-brown. It has a mottled pattern that is totally irregular, a nod to its earthy natural origins. Each tile will differ slightly in shade and pattern, adding to the stone's rustic charm.
Incredibly durable and hardwearing, Limestone is the ideal stone for a multitude of applications throughout the home. As the structural material for numerous ancient buildings, it has proved its ability to stand the test of time over and over. Most famously, limestone was used as the building blocks for the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the oldest structures still in place today.
It is for this reason, that limestone is suitable for most applications throughout the home environment. It is perfect for use as flooring in hallways, kitchen, and bathrooms and can even be used externally.
Tell me about the tile's finish A honed tile has a smooth surface and appears matte, with a satin texture. It is created by grinding the tile until it reaches a beautifully flat level with any pits, ridges or bumps removed.
It is perfect for flooring because it feels soft underfoot but also comes with functional advantages. For example, a honed finish has greater traction than a polished stone and therefore, is more practical for walking on as skid and trips are less likely. The slip-resistance makes it great for use in a family home where members of the household will be testing this quality to the limit.

It's also ideal for those who have a busy home environment and require a stone that will last. Some finishes can look worn down and become dull with heavy use. A honed finish is already muted, so wear and tear are not as detrimental to its look.
