Tell me about the stone If you had to define nature with just one color, it would surely be the earthy green-brown of Kota Brown limestone. This truly relaxing muddy tone is like a breath of crisp fresh air on a spring morning. You'll feel as if the outside has been brought into your home.
As with most natural stones, each tile is totally unique. It has a subtle variation in tone and some stones have a slightly mottled pattern. Despite this, the differences are minimal, creating a consistent looking stone.
Kota Brown is famous for its high quality and durability and very reasonable price point. It's a hardwearing stone that is capable of installation in a number of locations, including exterior patios and porches, as well as kitchens, bathrooms, and hallways. In fact, Kota Brown is suitable for almost any application. With the correct care, limestone can last for decades, looking superb for the entire duration.
Tell me about the tile's finish This tile comes with a smooth honed finish. The stone is ground until it is perfectly flat - all ridges, bumps, and grooves are removed from its surface, creating a refined and versatile finish. The tile has a matte surface which looks great in both contemporary and traditional homes. The dull face softens the light in your interior, making it feel cozy and serene.
A honed finish is also great in terms of functionality. For flooring, most people would prefer a tile with a little slip resistance. For this, a honed finish is ideal. It has more traction than a polished tile, making it much more suitable for use as flooring in both high traffic areas and bathrooms where there is likely to be water on the floor.

Furthermore, the innate dullness of the stone means that maintenance is kept to a minimum. There is no need to regularly polish or buff the stone, a quick mop with a pH neutral cleanser will be enough to keep this stone looking its best.
What overall look will I achieve? Kota Brown's neutral color palette can work with a vast array of designs. Go for a contemporary look by pairing it with crisp clean white walls. The matte green-brown will contrast the brightness beautifully creating a natural looking yet stylish design. In a bathroom setting, incorporate a white bathroom suite, black metal edged shower screen and circular mirror. This creates an industrial yet super sleek and timeless design.
Furthermore, you can also create an inviting entrance hall by pairing it with a wooden sideboard, white walls, and black edge photo frames. A cozy home with a stylish edge.
But don't let our suggestions restrict you if you're looking for a traditional home design, why not pair it with your favorite antique furniture? Alternatively, Kota Brown can be used to create backyard patios and porches.
