Memory lane is right around the corner with this charming model music car. At once romantic and practical at 9.5 x 5.5 x 9.5 inches, it also functions as a coin bank. Features include a miniature keyboard, drums, cymbals, and organ pipes affixed to a compact carriage complete with moving wheels and coin slot. Gorgeously handmade from iron, hand-painted, and adorned with golden filigree, it's the perfectly quaint gift for both old souls and children with an eye for whimsy. History: Music cars, also known as organ grinders, enchanted streets throughout the 19th and early 20th Century. They consisted of an automatic pneumatic organ that could be operated mechanically and played on the go. The most common types were either the smaller German or the heftier Dutch organ. Once popular from Paris to New York City, the tradition has since dwindled - but lives on merrily in our Music Car Coin Bank.
