Its leaves grow closely together and overlap like shingles on a roof, creating a rich leaf cover. In fall, the tree turns brilliant fiery red for a dramatic seasonal display. It is an ideal bonsai tree specimen and is described as hardy and easy to grow.
This delicate maple looks great on a patio, deck, or in the garden. Provide sun to show the best colors in early spring and late into the season. It is deciduous and should be kept outdoors.
