The Mikawa Yatsubusa Japanese maple is a grafted, multi-branched, compact cultivar and an ideal bonsai tree specimen. Its green leaves grow closely together and overlap like roof shingles, forming a dense leaf cover on a sculptural, nearly spherical shape.
In fall, the leaves turn brilliant fiery red. Provide sun to show the best colors in early spring and late in the season. This deciduous maple is described as hardy and easy to grow.
Keep this bonsai outdoors. It can be placed on a patio, deck, or in a garden.
