Tell me about the stone Mocha Creme is a famous limestone hailing from Portuguese quarries. It is a pale cream color, with a slight brown undertone that gives it a beautiful warmth, just like the foam on top of your favorite milky coffee. It has a subtle pattern comprised of sweeping minerals and crystals. These tiny imperfections form an irregular lined pattern. It is this non-uniformity that gives the stone its own character. It can never be replicated by man-made materials to the same effect, and this is what gives a natural stone its charm.
Limestone is a great option for those who are looking for a natural stone that will create a cozy interior. It comes in a variety of neutral shades, many of which bring warmth and homeliness to a design. It is a suitably durable stone that has been used for centuries to add a beautiful yet hardwearing element to an interior. Most famously, limestone was used to create the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the most ancient structures still in existence today. Therefore, Mocha Creme is more than capable of withstanding the wear and tear your kitchen, bathroom, or hallway floor will suffer.
Tell me about the tile's finish The soft color palette of a Mocha Creme limestone requires a finish that will complement its creaminess. A honed finish achieves this by creating a matte effect, just like a rich clotted cream. The stone has been ground down until it is totally smooth. There are no more refinement steps added, the stone is not buffed or polished. Instead, it is left with its innate dullness, a subtle and understated effect which gives the stone incredible design versatility.

There are a number of additional benefits to honed finish other than those that are design focused. Firstly, the muted effect is much more low maintenance than some of the other options on the market. A polished or glossy sheen is likely to need regular upkeep to ensure its mirror-like surface remains as shiny as intended. However, the honed finish is designed to be dull and lackluster, therefore wear and tear will not negate this effect.
Furthermore, in terms of functionality, a honed finish has a higher degree of traction than a shiny surface. This makes it ideal for use in high traffic areas of the home such as hallways and kitchens, but also for bathroom flooring and entrance halls where there is likely to be a little more dampness than other areas.
What overall look will I achieve? Mocha Creme limestone is subtle and elegant, therefore it can be paired with a wide array of designs. Create a luxurious bathroom with a limestone floor and backsplash. Add a traditional roll top bathtub, sink, and faucets, combined with almost any warm-toned color accessories and you'll have a calm and tranquil place to relax and unwind.
The possibilities are endless with Mocha Creme. Incorporate it into a chic, country style kitchen with painted wooden cabinets, or alternatively, create a warm and inviting entrance hall that is sturdy and luxurious.
