History: The Norse Love, also known as the Norwegian Lion, was built in 1765 by the Nyholm shipyard near Copenhagen. The ship carried a normal crew of 667 men and an armament of 70 iron cannons, with 26 on the lower deck, 26 on the middle deck, and 18 on the upper deck. It served as a guard ship in Oeresund and other Danish waters, later giving shelter to homeless families after the 1795 Copenhagen fire, and was deleted from the naval register in 1798.
