The small Oriental Ficus bonsai (Ficus Benjamina 'Orientalis') is an evergreen fig species native to South and Southeastern Asia.
It is well suited to bonsai training, producing sturdy trunks, good branching characteristics, and shiny leaves. This tree can grow indoors year round; a brighter location encourages more compact growth.
