Tell me about the stone Our Pearl Gray Sandstone paver stones are a simple and classic stone gray. Their color palette is fairly consistent throughout the tile, with only a slight variation in shade. It is a rugged stone that is ideal for creating a perfect backyard patio, porch, or driveway.
Sandstone is a sedimentary rock created by the layering of mineral deposits over time. Eventually, these layers build up to such a level that the pressure beneath changes their texture, taking it from soft and crumbly sediments to a sturdy rock. It is ideal for external uses because its extremely rugged texture is durable and hardwearing.
Tell me about the tile's finish These Pearl Gray Sandstone pavers have a craggy and jagged natural cleft face. This is the natural texture of the stone, uncovered by carving the material to the correct shape and size, but not refining its surface beyond a leveled face. The rustic quality of the stone is left intact, with all the grooves, ridges, and bumps still in place.
But not only is this stone popular for its ability to blend with the natural surroundings, it also comes with numerous functional advantages. For example, the stone's texture provides a great level of traction, making it ideal for external applications. A more refined and smooth surface can often feel slippery when wet. However, this tile's jaggedness creates enough grip that even while the tile is wet, it is unlikely to become slippery. On an outside space like a porch or patio, this quality is ideal, making your home safer for all the family.
Furthermore, a natural cleft face is ideal for those who require a low maintenance option. A cleft face is rugged and irregular looking, this is part of the stone's charm. So, regular upkeep is kept to a minimum, as any wear and tear that does occur only adds to the stone's character.

The back of the stones have been left un-gauged. Therefore, each tile has a slightly different thickness. This is suitable for exterior paving, requiring careful installation for a totally level surface.
