This ivory musical keepsake box is a special First Holy Communion gift, suitable for any age.
It features an ornately rimmed photo frame lid with two 2 1/4in square openings. The left side includes an art insert with a chalice/bread design and a short poem, while the right side can be replaced with a photo from the special day. Both windows are under glass, and the left insert can also be replaced with a photo if desired.
Open the hinged lid to reveal the musical movement under a clear window. Wind it up under the box and it plays "Ave Maria" when the lid is open. Inside is a velour-lined storage compartment measuring 3 x 3 1/4 x 1 1/4.
The box has four round legs on the bottom, padded to protect furniture, and the overall size is 6 x 4 x 2 1/2. The poem reads: "May Jesus our gentle Savior be always at your side. With His gracious love and truth, may He ever be your Guide. Sharing in His supper, may you share in his many blessings, too." Verse by B. Stuckwisch, copyright Dicksons.
