Add architectural detail above a window or door with the Restorers Architectural 45 1/2" Emery Urethane Pediment. Pediments are architectural elements used above columns or pilasters, as well as around windows and doors.
Made from high-density urethane designed to resemble wood, this pediment avoids the maintenance required by wood products. Urethane is resistant to cracking, splitting, and rotting; it will not crack, warp, or split, and is impervious to insects. It is lightweight and easy to install, abrasion-resistant and non-marking, and described as outlasting plastics, steel, rubber, and aluminum. Urethane products are usually less expensive than wood alternatives.
Pediments may be purchased by themselves or with a crosshead already attached. A crosshead, also called a breast board, is the flatter, protruding section directly above the door, between the pediment and pilasters.
