Complete a Colonial-style shutter look with the Restorers Rat Tail Shutter Dog, a classically designed shutter holdback with a curved rat-tail shape. Matching mounting hardware is included.
The dog is 6" long, projects 2 5/8", and has a 2" x 2" back plate. The space between the mounting plate and shutter dog is 2". Center of post to bottom of tail: 3 1/4". Length of thread on bolt: 5/8".
Choose Oil Blackened, Black Powder Coat, Rust, or Weathered Bronze. Rust is oxidized raw iron that will continue to rust and may rub off; furniture wax or clear coat sealant can preserve it. Black Powder Coat is a baked-on, virtually maintenance-free permanent finish that is shinier than Oil Blackened. Oil Blackened is raw iron coated with oil; as the oil wears, the iron beneath is exposed and can rust. Left unsealed, this finish can erode or rub off; furniture wax or clear coat sealant can help preserve it. Weathered Bronze is solid cast bronze that will continue to age and patina; no two pieces will look identical.
