Granite is a great material for those looking for incredible durability. As one of the hardest stones on the market, is it suitably scratch resistant, making it ideal for those with busy home environments that require additional protection. Furthermore, it has a great level of heat resistance. This is perfect for those who are looking for a stone tile to be used on a working surface such as a countertop or vanity since a hot mug or plate should not damage the tile's surface.
Because of its ability to resist damage, granite is suitable for a vast number of applications including flooring. However, its beauty is often reserved for feature areas such as walls, backsplashes, and countertops.
Tell me about the tile's finish A polished finish is achieved by grinding and buffing the tile's surface until it reaches a brilliant shine. This highly refined finish is often reserved for locations where its beauty can really shine, such as countertops and backsplashes. The reflective surface bounces light across the room, creating a bright and airy space for you to enjoy. The glossy sheen enhances the stone's colors, making the pale grays appear lighter and contrasting more starkly with the darker, deeper tones.

Furthermore, a polished finish often has a slightly higher resistance to stains than a flamed or honed finish. This is because the buffing process actually tightens the stone's pores, meaning that any spillages can be mopped up quickly without instantly damaging its appearance.
