Tell me about the stone A textured blend of metallic grays and cool toned pinks, these Select Pink Slate tiles are a gorgeous display by Mother Nature. Natural and earthy, with a subtle color twist, these slate tiles create the feeling of the outside brought in. Whether you're looking for a traditional country kitchen floor, or a back-to-nature, organic feel bathroom, these stunning tiles will achieve the look of your dreams.
Formed under the earth's surface, slate is a metamorphic rock which is naturally layered - this makes it the perfect rock for tiles. Famously durable and hardwearing, it is the perfect stone for use in a busy home environment, inside and out.
Traditional uses for the rock include classic roof tiles, evidence of the stone's ability to resist a variety of weather conditions. Inside your home, these tiles will stay looking great for years, outside they provide the perfect material for a hardworking yet beautiful patio.
Tell me about the tile's finish A naturally craggy and rugged stone, slate needs a finish which highlights these awesome attributes. These tiles are left with a natural cleft face. They are flattened to a sensible level but left with their bumpy texture. The stone's ridges and grooves are retained, displaying the stones natural beauty.
This is the perfect finish for use in kitchens and bathrooms. The tile's texture provides great traction, meaning even when floors become wet, they are not slippery. It's also a highly durable surface. Unlike polished tiles which can become dulled by overuse, this naturally grooved texture is not worn down or damaged by high levels of footfall. Once the stone is treated with a surface protectant it is almost impervious to moisture and staining, what more could you ask of a natural stone.
