Tell me about the stone A sumptuously rich orange with delicate creamy highlights, this sun-drenched and luxurious Sunflower Limestone will add warmth to your interior wherever it is laid. It has a subtle irregular veining, contributing to the stone's authentic charm. This radiant limestone is a true natural beauty.
Limestone is a sturdy and dense stone created by layers of sediment build up over time. This often occurs in a body of water, for example, a lake or ocean. Eventually, the pressure causes these soft minerals to compress and cement together, forming a hard stone.
Limestone has been used to decorate interiors and build immense constructions for generations. In fact, some of our most long-standing structures are created from limestone, including the Great Pyramids of Giza. Therefore, there is no doubt that limestone is suitable for the highest traffic locations throughout the home, including hallways and kitchen flooring.
Tell me about the tile's finish For a creamier, matte effect, these tiles have been honed. This is a refinement process that involves grinding the stone down until smooth and textureless, leaving it with muted, satin-like surface. This is ideal for flooring because it offers an increased durability when compared to a polished or gloss finish. The stone is intentionally dull, and therefore wear and tear will not impact its effect.
Furthermore, there is a higher level of traction afforded with a honed finish when compared to a gloss tile. The matte surface provides a superior grip, making it ideal bathroom and hallway flooring, areas of the home that are more likely to see puddles or dampness.

What overall look will I achieve? This glorious Sunflower Limestone will always brighten your day. Its beautiful golden orange color creates a warm and sunny atmosphere wherever it is laid. Combine it with ivory shaker style cabinets and a dark wooden countertop for a high-end country inspired design.
Alternatively, use it as flooring in your entrance hall to welcome guests. Pair it with antique, dark wood furniture and cream walls for a relaxed and cozy environment.
While the bright hue can seem dramatic, once paired with neutral walls and natural materials, it feels soft and relaxing. The swirling hints of cream add depth to the design, softening its stark coloring and hinting to the stone's natural origins.
