Tell me about the stone Sunflower Limestone is a bright and sunny golden orange. It has a slight variation in tonality between tiles, with some reaching deeper shades than others. There is a subtle veining, but for the most part, Sunflower limestone has a beautiful consistent color throughout the tile.
Limestone is formed by mineral deposits that settle to the bottom of a body of water over a period of thousands of years. Eventually, these layers become so heavy that the pressure causes them to solidify into a hard rock. Limestone has been used for construction for generations, creating some of the world's most famous buildings, including the Empire State Building and the Great Pyramids of Giza. Therefore, it's clear to see that limestone is an incredibly durable material.
Limestone is suitable for flooring, walls, backsplashes, countertops, and a whole host of other applications. It is marginally porous; therefore, it is recommended to seal your limestone tiles with a stone protectant. This will extend the lifespan of your tiles, preventing stains from occurring.
Tell me about the tile's finish These Sunflower limestone tiles have a glossy polished finish. This highly refined look enhances the tile's colors, deepening and enriching its gorgeous tones. Its reflective surface bounces the light around a room, creating a light and airy space. A polished finish undoubtedly has high-end design in mind.
But the benefits don't stop there, many people consider a polished sheen much easier to clean because there are no bumps or grooves to catch the dirt and grime. Therefore, a quick wipe is usually sufficient. This makes a polished finish ideal for wall tiles in bathrooms and showers, but also for backsplashes in kitchens too.
