Tell me about the stone Reminiscent of the famously high-end Burmese hardwood, this Teakwood Sandstone will give your property a sumptuous look. The rich caramel colored stone is littered with fine veins that carry the effect of a wooden grain. This stunning pattern is combined with the durability and longevity of natural stone, creating a quality interior that will never fail to wow. Just like a plank of wood, each stone has its own totally unique face. It can never be replicated, and therefore you'll never find two identical tiles.
Sandstone is a sedimentary rock formed by the build-up of layers of sand over a period of thousands of years. As time passes, the layers cement together, building a hard and durable rock. It has an incredibly fine grain and a slightly porous surface. For this reason, sandstone tiles must be sealed upon installation to protect them against staining and moisture damage. The completion of this process, and regular top-up, means the tiles are likely to last for decades, a worthy investment.
While sandstone is often used for external applications, for example, for paving stones on patios, porches, and driveways, it is also suitable for internal use. Many enjoy sandstone's beautiful creamy coloring and patterns, using it to create kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls, and a number of other features.
Tell me about the tile's finish These Teakwood Sandstone tiles come with a highly refined polished finish. This is a style that has the stone's natural texture removed. Any bumps, grooves, or ridges have been ground down to create a totally smooth surface. The stone is buffed creating a soft sheen. Sandstone does not hold a mirror-like shine in the same way as marble or granite but instead offers a delicate reflection, similar to a warm glow.
