Tell me about the stone The ultimate golden beige, Trieste limestone is ideal for adding warmth to your home interior. Its surface is littered with particles of fossilized plants and shells, creating a unique pattern that is often imitated but never duplicated.
This interesting effect is a product of limestone's formation beneath a lake or other body of water. As minerals suspended within the water settle to the bottom, they form layers upon layers of matter. Over time, these build up, and the pressure increases, solidifying the stone to form a hard rock. In the midst of this process, sea life and plant matter at the end of their lifecycle also become trapped within the layers, resulting in a stone with a captivating story written across its surface.
Limestone is a porous stone, and therefore, just like most natural materials, will need sealing upon installation to prevent staining. Once this has been completed, it's an incredibly durable material and can last for decades if the proper care is undertaken. Limestone is ideal for all manner of applications, including high traffic flooring locations like hallways and kitchens. It also makes a stunning bathroom and shower wall tile, kitchen countertop, or fireplace surround. In fact, there are a whole host of possibilities.
Tell me about the tile's finish This Trieste Limestone tile has a polished finish; a glossy high-shine created by buffing the stone's top layer. If you're looking for a high-end design that will leave your home feeling luxurious, this is your ideal finish. The tile's colors are brightened and their pattern clarified, lifting it to its full potential. The highly reflective surface creates a light and airy feel in your home, maximizing the feeling of space.

But the benefits don't stop there, a polished finish has a completely smooth surface, making it super easy to clean. Where a textured tile will hold on to the dirt, this glossy stone can be wiped clean in seconds, ideal for those who are short on time.
What overall look will I achieve? Trieste Limestone is a classically warm-toned stone, making it incredibly versatile and universally popular. It will look great as a floor to ceiling tile in a light and airy bathroom. Whether you're looking for a super sleek and modern style, or even something a little more traditional, there is no doubt that this neutral stone will blend seamlessly.
Use it for kitchen and hallway flooring, paired with cream and ivory tones and wooden furniture. You'll have the ultimate homely interior that will always feel stylish.
