For centuries, genuine Burmese Teak (Tectona grandis) has been one of the most precious and sought after woods on Earth. Revered not only for its exquisite aesthetics but also for its remarkable resistance to decay, as well as its ability to withstand the challenges of moisture-induced expansion and contraction. Teak has long been the cherished choice of artisans in the realms of upscale furniture crafting, boat construction, and woodworking. Teak's deep chestnut brown color punctuated by subtle black streaks and unique grain structure make it among the most beautiful woods available. Monarch Plank is proud to offer genuine Teak in an engineered format made with formaldehyde-free adhesive, featuring a thick, 4mm sawn wear layer and a silky, ultra-matte finish. Certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), 100% of the wood in our True Teak flooring comes from responsibly managed plantation forests in Thailand.
