The USS Constitution Cross Section is a handcrafted display model of the famous three-mast frigate, designed to show the deck divisions and ship interior in detail.
Built from scratch by master artisans using "plank on frame" construction, this model uses the highest quality woods and takes more than 50 hours to construct. It includes metal cannons, an authentic crows nest, advanced intricate rigging, a painted hull, inlay deck, water drums, metal ladder, metal skylight, and more. No plastic parts are used.
The model rests on a solid wood base with a metal nameplate. The historical USS Constitution was built primarily with dense southern live oak, had a 21 inches thick hull, and earned the nickname "Old Ironsides" during the War of 1812.
